Teresa Sapey surprises us with her creations
The invisible collection presents the imaginary world of Marc Ange
To celebrate Marc Ange joining TheInvisibleCollection.com, The Invisible Collection presents the Imaginary World of Marc Ange featuring a collaboration between The Green Gallery and Marc Ange.
It is within this green oasis of floral beauty and splendour installed in the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibition space within the Mediateca di Santa Teresa in the heart of Milan that Le Refuge is unveiled for the first time.
« Le Refuge is a place where one finds comfort and peace. It is the projection of a childhood memory. Its large leaves form a shelter under the sun, away from reality, just like those of the imaginary jungle that grows in the room of a child who seeks escape » says Marc Ange.
« Inspired by nature’s infinite beauty, The Green Gallery creates a magical secret garden where the visitor is immersed in green joy. The tranquility and freshness of this natural art installation is an invitation to enter a different, quieter and more refreshing world, revealing the astonishing art piece Le Refuge of Marc Ange » says Esther de Waard from The Green Gallery.
ABOUT MARC ANGE
Parisian designer, Marc Ange was born in the holy city of Rome. His family history is surreal, torn between arts, religion and madness. He retained from his childhood a deliberate confusion of real and unreal that rules each of his creations. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he creates for those who share his taste for beauty and horror, perfection and error, harmony and accident. His only obsession is to make life a work of art. His recent work includes clients like Jean Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton, Ferrari and Moët & Chandon. Marc Ange is also known for Chimère Edition, a collection of furniture for pets – a cage, a kennel, a litter box – conceived for an alternative world (also available through TheInvisibleCollection.com).
