Seldom are things that can make time spent outdoors as pleasant as good furniture can...
A very precious collection of roses
We consider rose as a flower with a special and fascinating charm.
Whenever we place our nostrils near a rose bud, each of us has a regression leading us to past ages. Origins, in fact, start from ancient times: in America, in Japan, In France up to Babylon. Charms of fragrant essences leading you through your way home. Your eyes, your noise and your hands are satisfied with pleasure.
We identify several types of roses:
-Botanical roses, progenitor of all the roses. A simple flower, with a soft and bright colour and very thorny branches.
-Historical roses, which shaped the history of the Queen of Flowers.
Selected among several existing varieties, those which are more suitable to the climate characteristics of our county and the most resistant to the most frequent diseases.
They were obtained by selecting and by keeping the mutations of the plants budded from seeds. The form is more tidied up, the range of colours is wider, pastel colours and strong scents give decorative effects after flowering, too.
-Hybrid roses, obtained by crossbreeding local species of the old continent and the first ones to arrive from China and from Bourbon roses, obtained from the crossbreed of the Damascenae blooming again with the Chinese ones.
Their flowering is short but refines your garden through its sparkling of forms.
-We think that climbing roses are very important, too, a real show for your eyes when they blend in the scenic design.
Banksiae roses (referring to the pictures into the folder: rose_banksiae), are a beautiful example of that; with their wide voluminous, scented and coloured cover, they wrap old walls, romantic pergolas where you can have a walk during a Spring day.
There are roses for almost any use, from the small balcony to the majestic parks.
We transformed our passion for these plants into a special productive activity and, year after year, we have been selecting those that, in our opinion, are the most beautiful and, above all, the most touching ones among countless varieties.
The collections our nurseries create all over the world vary one from the other: from rose garden with bushes, with big flowers and with bunches, “English roses”, Lilliputian, shrub-like, falling and sidling rose gardens with small trees and climbing plants.
Extremely wide choices and talented and various associations, obtained from more than 2000 varieties, such as Beales, Eve, Orard, Dicksn and without forgetting Barni, Meilland, David Austin roses.
Remarkable names for Great roses which are rare and often it is not possible to find them elsewhere.
We are proud of our varieties of re-flourishing roses which give your garden a never-ending and luxuriant flowering during both Spring and Summer months.
These are precious choices that make the difference to have a unique garden. Remember that there is an enormous difference between an ordinary grafted rose and a cultivated rose.
The rose which talks:
if I am a cutting I give very beautiful flowerings and I do not last that long. If I am the same but I am grafted, I last for twenty years.
Suggestions BY Gianfranco Paghera, Landscape Designer:
It is possible to buy roses both in pots, all year round, or bare-root, during the vegetative dormancy (November-February). Roses love to stay in the bright sunlight, they create wonderful flourished spots from April to November with an incomparable colour palette and scents. It is possible to mix them with perennial flowers, from the simple Leucanthemum Maximum (daisy) to the most elaborated Anemone Japonica or the extraordinary blue Verbena Bonariensi, with a sprinkling of Aster Dumosus to reach Autumn.
Changes from collections of white roses to the yellow ones, to the flaming red ones adding perennial flourishing, that is when from this flash of colour, you create the difference and the variety of a continuous cycle of flourishing emotions all year long.
