Another edition full of proposals and focused on quality networking has come to an end.A growing presence of international operators and exhibitors.
HOMI, the Fiera Milano trade show dedicated to lifestyles, has closed with 82.300 professional visitors of which from 17 % from abroad.
The profile of the operators attending the event was particularly high: HOMI is still the place to be for professionals who are always focused on their business choices and consider the trade show dedicated to lifestyles the best place where to learn about new trends and share ideas.
This Homi edition was focused on quality and creativity, showcasing many unique or rare innovative pieces.

This edition welcomed 1,463 exhibitors, 25% of which from 39 countries, with Spain, France, Germany, Greece and India being the most widely represented nations.
Some delegations, such as those of Iran and Argentina, had the opportunity to enter in contact with the Italian and international market, showcasing artisan products of excellence and enhancing the value of their culture and traditions.
A LABORATORY FOR PROFESSIONALS AND AN OBSERVATORY ON NEW LIFESTYLE TRENDS
A panel with over 30 training events focused on hot topics, such as e-commerce techniques, store setups, object design techniques, new professional figures in the houseware industry, and the latest style and fashion trends. The perfect place for operators of this industry to keep up-to-date in a dynamic and interactive way, combining business and targeted training opportunities.
HOMI was also an opportunity for reflection thanks to the research presented during the event, which made the trade fair an observatory on ever-changing lifestyles.Operators had also the opportunity to find out the trends identified by WGSN, the leading company specialising in market research and analysis. Moreover, thanks to DOXA, they learned more about what Italians think about the houseware world, finding out a few consumption habits that will influence their marketing and sales strategies.
HISTORY TAKES A SEAT THE TABLE IN PALAZZO REALE UNTIL 15 FEBRUARY
HOMI’s idea of analysing and disseminating styles and trends goes beyond the event’s borders. You have time till 15th of February to visit ‘CONVIVIANDO - the Art of Dining Between Past and Future’, the exhibition held at Palazzo Reale promoted and produced by the
Municipality of Milan - Culture, the Palazzo Reale, and HOMI – the Fiera Milano Lifestyle Trade Fair – and curated by Cinzia Felicetti, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire Maison Italia.
The installation will span ten rooms of the historical princely residence, proposing tentable settings, which draw inspiration from unforgettable films, to mark moments that have become the symbol of style, elegance, eclecticism, and beauty.
YOUNG DESIGNERS FLY TO THE 2020 EXPO IN DUBAI
Fiera Milano will be together with Lombardy Region at the 2020DubaiExpo to support young creatives with the‘Design Competition in Dubai 2020’.
Inspired by the ‘Design Competition’, Lombardy Region in partnership with Unioncamere Lomabardia, ADI (the Italian Association for Industrial Design), and Fiera Milano are promoting this initiative to allow U-35 designers to gain experience working in a company while being supported by an tutor. Associations of the design industry, the trade fair system, and the Triennale di Milano are also involved in this new edition.
This event is addressed to young people who have a University degree in Design, Architecture, or Engineering. It will also be an opportunity to promote partnerships between Lombardy and Arab Countries and help the design industry export its products and solutions.
Fiera Milano has supported the Design Competition for three editions, organising events within HOMI and across the city to promote young designers’ creativity and, therefore, innovation.
