Collection of vases-ASA NISI MASA
The first collection of flower vases designed by Calvi Brambilla for antoniolupi is inspired by the famous phrase of Federico Fellini's legendary film.
Cristalmood and it’s ten trendy colors of the antoniolupi range that embellish the material, are theabsolute protagonists of the collection of vases designed by Calvi Brambilla. Three different forms, threeinterpretations of the theme united by linguistic coherence, sophisticated and never ostentatiouselegance, a balance between geometries, thicknesses and shapes that give life to a harmonious and"natural" whole.Asa, Nisi and Masa.
Three names that immediately refer to the history of cinema in our country, a sort ofnursery rhyme recalled by Fellini in the masterpiece, 8 ½, and repeated in the film by the children whotransform it into an almost magical ritual.
Although the phrase "Asa Nisi Masa" has no translation in any known language — and Fellini never publicly revealed the meaning of the phrase — it is generally thought that Fellini used an Italian children’s game, similar to Pig Latin, to create it. In the game the syllables "si" and "sa" are added to existing words to obscure them, which Fellini does with the word "anima": A-sa + Ni-si + Ma-sa. The word "anima" has dual significance in this context; not only is it the Italian word for "soul" but it is also a key concept in the work of the Swiss psychotherapist Carl Jung (of whom Fellini was fond), where "anima" is the term for the female aspect of the personality in men, a common Fellini theme.
The three proposals of the collection are inspired by thecarefree nature of those moments, to the memory of known objects, protagonists of a domestic liferegulated by rhythms very distant from current ones and organized around essential forms, friendlyimages with which to build the sense of belonging, like "feeling at home".

The ASA series the cylinder of different heights and diameters is tapered at the top so as to define an edge, an upper crown that lightens the image and invites the eye to converge towards the contents of the vase.
The NISI series it integrates with the shape of the cone without interruption to open and accommodate a splendid bouquet of flowers.
The MASA series a deep cut, a clear mark separates but at the same time unites the two halves of the volume that develops in height, reaching different heights, giving the vase an unusual appearance.
