Fast wins the iF Design Award 2018
The Niwa chair, designed by Robby & Francesca Cantarutti, has been awarded with the iF Design Award 2018.
Founded in 1953 by the iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover, the iF Design Award is one of the most important and acknowledged design awards, and every year rewards the best products and projects on the international design cene. This year the jury - made up of 63 independent members - had to choose the winners among over 6,000 submissions from 54 different countries. The Italian company Fast won in the Garden category with the Niwa chair, characterized by a linear design that ensures the utmost level of comfort.
Niwa is a chair made of die-cast aluminium with extruded aluminium legs, designed both for contract and residential use. The rigorous and embracing body recalls the shape of a zen garden, which inspired the name Niwa, meaning "garden" in Japanese. The aluminium legs envelop the seating with elegance, fully embracing its shape. It is available in 8 colours: white, black, metal grey, pearly gold, pastel blue, powder grey, coral red, sage green.
