Henge presents new products
New products, new finishes and new interpretations, for the 2015 edition of the Salone, Henge brings the desire to intrigue, to share with the public the spark of its inspiration and vision, epitomized in the 2015 Home Collection.
Prized materials of exceptional beauty, the finest design, impeccable quality, the timeless value of skilled artisanal craftsmanship… the creations of Henge are sensory experiences that accompany us in our everyday lives with the power to animate our surroundings, rendering them comfortable, functional and emotional. This year’s stand features a warmer and more welcoming space than ever, punctuated by different accents that intermingle and counterbalance one another to then merge into a unique and incredibly eclectic overall atmosphere.
The star of the show is the ECLIPSE Sofa, capable of lending character to an entire room all by itself. Equally suited to inclusion in the home as to a contract setting, it has numerous modular elements that allow it to be configured in a wide variety of ways. Simple geometry, soft lines, careful attention to comfort and a meticulous selection of materials make Hypnose Sofa truly unique. The base consists of a low and discreet structure upholstered in leather, while the cushions and padded elements can be covered in velvet, leather or fabric, with the option of bold and appealing chromatic and tactile. combinations
New for 2015, the MONOLITH tables are the crowning jewel of the new collection: futuristically inspired lines that contrast with the warm and welcoming soul of brushed brass fully embody the Henge philosophy with their refined and assertive, almost statuesque personality that finds perfect harmony with the functionality of the object. Vintage design for the OCTAGON series of tables, with burnished brass finish, in three different sizes, conceived to be used singly or in combination. Slender legs, joined by an orthogonal weave of straps, support a thin octagonal tabletop with turned up edges, like those of a precious plateau. Dominating the main wall, with a length of 5.5 meters, is BLADE BOOKSHELF, a new bookshelf with a light and slender structure in burnished silver and black eucalyptus, a new combination of materials with a powerful visual impact. The modular H-SILVER is connoted by the unusual design of its shelves, created with oblong octagonal trays mounted on thin silver-plated brass struts, which can be paired with containers in three different sizes to create various configurations and functions that can be modified according to personal needs.
Silver-plated brass reappears in TIME TABLE, the new work table which, like K-TABLE, strives for the ideal of lightness. The tabletop and legs are very thin, the lines clean and simple: a soft ‘S’ characterizes the form of the legs and bestows harmony and stability to the design. The warm tactility of wood is the distinguishing feature of the new SIDE FLEXI, a low storage cabinet in swamp oak/shellac with a black travertine top, composed of two interconnected and articulated elements, with hinged doors: by adjusting the angle of rotation, one discovers an unusual balance of volumes and multiple possibilities of spatial configuration. The contoured ‘spider’ legs lend a bit of vintage style, which is designed to adapt with great flexibility to various domestic spaces, but which also fits perfectly in an office or workspace that wants to get noticed. The lighting installation for the wall that hosts WALL CLIPS is obtained by a composition using BUMP, the new wall lamp with backlit caps in machined brass. The result is an atmospheric light that makes the surfaces appear silvery, creating a very striking effect. There are four predefined configurations which can be mounted and juxtaposed to suit everyone’s tastes and needs. The Tubular Light product family expands to include TUBULAR HORIZONTAL, a new evolution of the classic Tubular brass lamp, which finds in this design a fascinating lateral development. Tubular Horizontal is presented at the Salone in an exceptional configuration, with fully 46 tubes of varying which can be mounted and juxtaposed to suit everyone’s tastes and needs. The Tubular Light product family expands to include TUBULAR HORIZONTAL, a new evolution of the classic Tubular brass lamp, which finds in this design a fascinating lateral development. Tubular Horizontal is presented at the Salone in an exceptional configuration, with fully 46 tubes of varying dimensions, mounted on linear metal strips woven together in an orthogonal pattern that is simple, yet dynamically dislocated.
Absolutely new is the BK CHANDELIER lamp, a veritable cascade of burnished silver leaf applied to a series of concentric rings that become smaller toward the bottom, making it possible to compose the structure in different versions. The LED light sources are hidden inside the envelope of leaves, generating a very interesting light that creates space and illuminates the burnished silver, lending a precious and seductive charm. An established and by now widely known and appreciated product, the feather in the cap of the entire Home Collection and proud flag bearer of the unmistakable design of Massimo Castagna, Art Director of Henge, Light Ring is presented at the 2015 Salone in the Light Ring Horizontal version, with a new burnished silver finish, which dialogueswith the new TIME Table for the living area. The form and material of the base are restyled: hexagonal instead of square, with a perforated burnished silver finish in place of brass; while the tabletop in the new version is in cappuccino with a notched rectangular cut. JAZZ CASE has changed its look for the occasion, now with an intriguing new skin: the doors are enlivened by a tight pattern of wooden slats that alternate with strips of gray glass, a bold characterization for an item which, even in the earlier versions, featured unusual contrasts and high-impact solutions.
Slim Side VERTICAL takes on new proportions for the Salone: the new version is 166 cm tall rather than 61 cm like the previous version, therefore offering greater storage capacity designed for dual purposes: drawers and shelves for more formal use, or with glass racks to transform it into a bar cupboard. The finish is in machined brass that appears to the eye as silver. The Home Collection expands with these and other new proposals, which Henge is proud to present to the general public of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano.
