Resistance and versatility, grace and elegance: Pedrali presented a sneak preview of the new outdoor collection during the 57th edition of Salone del Mobile, enriching the already extensive collection of the Italian company.
A contemporary lifestyle makes the boundary between interior and exterior spaces more and more blurred. The continuous research of innovative materials combined with a refined and sophisticated design are capable of transforming outdoor furniture into extensions of interior spaces. The outdoor products of Pedrali are made of materials and technologies that guarantee resistance to weather and wear, without sacrificing attention to detail, making them perfect for hotels, restaurants, bar and private homes.
Tribeca collection, designed by Mandelli Pagliarulo, radiates pure energy and colour and draws inspiration from the memory of childhood summers. A collection that revisits in a modern key the classic terrace chairs of the Sixties, made of intertwined steel. The manual work and the attention to detail give softness and extreme comfort to the seat, whilst reinterpreting tradition with a commitment to cutting-edge quality. The alternation of the strings gives rhythm and visual opening, by making the seating light, dynamic and airy.
The collection is characterized by a great chromatic variety that ranges from warm shades of red, pink, terracotta to the colder ones of blue and sage green. Tribeca casts the shadows of the taut strings on the cobblestone of the squares and adapts to peaceful and relaxing spaces en plain air.
Also, the new collaboration with the designer Eugeni Quitllet resulted in the creation of Remind, the innovative polypropylene armchair in which each element is designed to give comfort and to embrace. Characterized by an organic silhouette that recalls the memory of the soft curves of the wooden chairs of the second half of the 19th century, Remind fits perfectly any context both in indoor and outdoor spaces such as gardens, terraces or the backyard of a bistro, thanks to its functionality, versatility and universal shape. The seat, the backrest and the breathable texture, which allows the chair to be dry on rainy days and fresh during summer days, all help to make it airy and even lighter.
Soft lines and flowing shapes are the hallmarks of the new Elliot table designed by Patrick Jouin. The refined and architectural design spread a sense of both harmony and solidity, capable of making it light and functional. An elegant table, with delicate and slim shapes and a strong identity, Elliot adapts to different situations and is designed also for outdoor use, with specific finishes and bright colours.
Designed in 2017 by Patrick Jouin, the Reva collection is particularly suitable for making a stay in a hotel special and unforgettable for those guests who are looking for comfort and peacefulness. An elegant three-seat sofa, a lounge chair and a sun bed: this is the essence of the collection designed by the French designer, with a soft design and generous dimensions, which in its name evokes relaxing and dreamy sensations, typical of summertime.
The Sunset collection designed by Alessandro Busana comprises an armchair and a two-seater sofa; it evokes the romantic, relaxing mood of watching the sun as it sets between the waves on the horizon.
Last but not least, there is Giravolta, the wireless lamp that lights up summer evenings, designed by Basaglia Rota Nodari and presented in 2017. Characterized by a contemporary design, Giravolta is easy to carry. Thanks to a swivelling diffuser that allows to direct the light 360 degrees, the lamp is able to create a magical atmosphere through its soft light. Used as a beautiful piece of furniture by Bohem La Stazione, the enchanting location created
inside Paratico-Sarnico railway station, the wireless lamp inspired by the lanterns of the past makes the alreadymagical - atmosphere even more special.
TRIBECA
Design Mandelli Pagliarulo
Tribeca takes us back in time with a modern reinterpretation o f c lassic Sixties patio chairs made f rom s teel and woven material. Tribeca is an outdoor seating collection that draws inspiration from childhood memories of summer: a sunlit Mediterranean square where children play, while a woven chair throws shadows of its cords onto the cobblestones. A true icon, revisited with new materials: a steel frame, combined with the elasticity of a profile in vertically-woven plastic material that is remarkably durable, easy to clean and colourful. Handcrafted with the highest attention to detail, this chair is incredibly soft and comfortable and puts a contemporary twist on tradition with its cutting-edge design and quality. The cording is arranged to give a fresh and dynamic sense of rhythm and openness to every version, whether it’s the chair, armchair or stool in two different heights. Tribeca is available in several colours: white, pink, red, terracotta, brown, blue, sage green.
REMIND
Design Eugeni Quitllet
Remind, or call back to mind - a concept rendered in Latin by the word ‘re-cordis’, meaning ‘to pass through the heart’. (Eugeni Quitllet) Mind and heart have been both essential to create Remind: the heart in its creation and the mind in its production. While evoking the soft sinuous curves of wooden chairs from the late nineteenth century, Remind’s organic silhouette recalls "something never seen before”, a universal shape able to fit into any space and style of decor. The result is an innovative polypropylene armchair, in which each element is conceived to ensure total comfort and cosiness. The breathable texture makes it airy and even lighter. Made from injection-moulded polypropylene, the armchair is functional and versatile, perfect for both outdoor and indoor spaces.
ELLIOT
Design Patrick Jouin
With its elegant silhouette and minimal design, Elliot table has a strong identity that combines soft lines with sinuous natural forms. The shape of the column, which transforms into an airy base, expresses continuity and attention to detail, while the table's sophisticated architectural design conveys a striking sense of harmony and solidity, making it light and functional. The three-lobed column in extruded aluminium narrows down and splits open to form three feet in die-cast aluminium, which elegantly sit on the floor. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, and available in three different heights, the Elliott table is also offered with a folding top so that it can be stored away with very little space.
GIRAVOLTA
Design Basaglia - Rota Nodari
Inspired by lanterns of times past, it is a wireless lighting distinguished by a contemporary design and suitable for outdoor environments. The name reflects its essence: the swiveling diffuser and the rechargeable feature recalls the great inventor Alessandro Volta and his main discovery, the battery. The main elements of the lighting are two discs in plastic material, the base and the LED diffuser which rotates 360 degrees and direct the light. An arc made in extruded aluminium painted in matching colours surrounds the two discs to create a practical handle The luminaire incorporates the LED board, the lithium battery, the micro USB device for recharge and the power button.
REVA
Design Patrick Jouin
An elegant three-seat sofa, a lounge armchair and a sun lounger convertible into a sofa: Reva is an outdoor collection with smooth lines and generous sizes that calls to mind relaxing and dreamy atmospheres. Its clean design is underlined by the four tapered legs that support a thin extruded aluminium frame. The sun lounger has a reclinable backrest that can be lifted up to find the most comfortable position. Two upholstered armrests and a backrest convert the sun lounger into a sofa, once inserted. The soft cushions provided make the comfort greater. The collection is complemented by a lounge armchair for two people with the same formal language and a Sun lounger.
SUNSET
Design Alessandro Busana
Sunset is a collection of lounge modular seating, made up of armchair and two- seat sofa, studied for the outdoor and perfect to enjoy sunny atmospheres. A squared volume in polyethylene, with fine roundness downward, embraces the wide seat evoking a sense of relax, thanks to clear space under the seat which allows free movement of the legs. The flat upper side becomes a restful armrest. The horizontal lines along the outer profile create a rhythmic play which enlarge the cosy look of the seating. The cushions in polyurethane foam with removable covering increase the comfort and guarantee a high level of customization through different combinations, with cushion only on the seat, or even on the backrest. A practical top is available for the support of small objects, at the same time has the function to link the modules.
NOLITA
Design S. Mandelli – A. Pagliarulo
Nolita is a family of outdoor seatings which recalls the origins of a historic course, started by Mario Pedrali in 1963 with his first metal garden chairs. The collection seems to arise from the memories of a sunny and lively square, a timeless place, giving birth to simple and iconic shapes. Completely made of steel, it is designed specifically for outdoor use. The collection includes chair and armchair with two different back heights, lounge armchair, stools with two different heights and a chaise longue. The three and four-leg tables in two heights are light and easy to be handled. A version with folding top is also available. This allows an optimization of the space when the table is put back.
