2019 is a very important year for Selva, full of big news, as the partnership with important international designers.
My Home Collection – New designs
My home collection embodies a unique lifestyle, featuring materials, forms and colours that together create a timeless yet contemporary elegance which, most importantly, is 100% made in italy.
The 2019 means for for brend a year of important novelties, starting with the appointment of Giulio Iacchetti as art director and the acquisition of Internoitaliano, the brand founded by the designer.
My Home Collection thus looks to the future, envisioning a path of renewal to consolidate the brand with even greater force on the Italian and international design scene.
The emphasis is on evolution, but always with the commitment to keep faith with the original philosophy that gave rise to the Florentine brand in 2015: color remains a constant factor in the production, alongside collaboration with today’s young design talents, giving the company an even fresher, more dynamic profile.
The new products presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano are the result of research on interior decorating of a young, informal contemporary home, also with a focus on the latest trends in hospitality.
Arcom / Design Giulio Iacchetti
“A work of micro-architecture that ironically reinterprets the traditional forms of the bedside table.” This is the most pertinent definition of the new Arcom model designed by Giulio Iacchetti. Arcom stands out for the use of simple geometric shapes, assembled with great skill and elegance. A round arch supports a horizontal top at the point of tangency, while a storage compartment for small personal objects is concealed below the arch, with a hatch opening.
Aronte / Design Giulio Iacchetti
The main feature of the new Aronte table designed by Giulio Iacchetti is the design of the structural cross of the base. Made in iron, its beams have a forked opening at the extremities, to permit insertion of the legs – also in iron – attached by bolts that provide a unique aesthetic detail while performing their technical function. Resting on the crossed structure, the top is available in matte painted MDF or marble. Aronte comes to
life in a game of color combinations, thanks to the possibility of ordering the top, structure and legs in three different hues.
Cloe / Design Federica Biasi
The new Cloe model designed by Federica Biasi is a tribute to minimalist forms and light, sinuous design. The concept of Cloe comes from the delicate compositions of the world of flowers, in terms of aesthetics and substance. Like a blossoming flower, Cloe is formed by slender steel legs coated in bronze, gold, silver and copper tones, supporting a shell in Polimex padded in polyurethane rubber and covered in fabric, available in a range of different finishes. Extreme comfort and softness, for the pleasant sensation of being “seated on a flower.”
Cot / Design Alessandro Stabile
Created to work perfectly with the Riquadra seating family, the new Cot tables designed by Alessandro Stabile have circular tops in marble or wood, with two different diameters: 60 and 80 cm. From the Riquadra collection, Cot inherits the relationship between legs and top, where the latter is beveled below to accommodate the particular cross-section of the legs in solid ash wood. The structure takes on character and strength thanks to the central three-way joint.
Oku / Design Federica Biasi
Inspired by oriental poetics and philosophy, Oku is the new single-leg table of the My home collection for the dining room, designed by Federica Biasi. An object that speaks a language of faraway lands, that of Japan, in which the word Oku means “oak,” expressing the force and solidity of age-old trees and the ancient Japanese culture. The choice of the name is immediately understandable, because coming to terms with Oku implies interaction with an object of ample proportions with a reassuring, refined design. Oku features a large oval top in matte painted MDF resting on a sturdy “monoblock” with borders in different finishes – also surrounding the top – to create unique and very elegant combinations.
Riquadra / Design Alessandro Stabile
Riquadra is the new seating family designed by Alessandro Stabile for My home collection. In versions with or without armrests, Riquadra explores new, original configurations through the montage of geometric forms. The circle for the seat and the square for the back have the same area, intersecting. The result is a juxtaposition of forms in which one geometric figure or the other stands out depending on the vantage point. The seat is padded and covered, while the circular frame in solid ash wood welcomes the legs – in the same material – permitting attachment of the back in curved wood.
Vinnie / Design Alessandro Stabile
Music is the inspiration behind the new Vinnie coffee table designed by Alessandro Stabile for My home collection, which returns to the Salone del Mobile.Milano with a new art director, Giulio Iacchetti. Paying homage to the great talent of Vinnie Colaiuta, one of the most famous drummers in the history of contemporary music, this new coffee table reproduces the shape of a drum cylinder, and is made with precisely the same technique, creating a seamless plywood shell. Vinnie has a round top split into two parts – one hollow, one full. The higher surface keeps objects within easy reach, while the deeper compartment is ready to store all the items that tend to gravitate around a sofa or a bed, such as books, magazines and remote controls.
The frame of the coffee table is entirely in ash wood, painted and available in any color. Vinnie is a versatile interior decor item, a perfect addition to any living room orabedroom.
