The only event/exhibition linked to the Salone del Mobile.Milano delves into the concept of “lightness” in the finishes and materials enveloping modern living...
After a successful debut that attracted over 8,000 trade visitors (including 30% from overseas), now returning for the second time, space&interiors is the event centred on architectural finishes and the only one linked permanently with the Salone del Mobile.Milano. The venue is The Mall, Porta Nuova, right in the heart of Milan’s Brera Design District, and the event showcases surfaces, flooring, doors and internal finishes in an evocative setting curated by Migliore+Servetto Architects.
From Tuesday 4 April to Saturday 8 April 2017 space&interiors will shine the spotlight on a sector increasingly attracting the attention of designers and architects. Not to mention maintaining strong working ties with Milan Design Week. Throngs of high-profile visitors attended the 2016 edition of space&interiors, attesting to its role as a formidable magnet capable of drawing professionals keen to embed the latest new ideas and products into their projects.
The setting, again curated by Migliore+Servetto Architects, will pep up the space provided courtesy of The Mall, Porta Nuova, a cutting edge venue situated at the foot of the Diamond Tower. While the Salone del Mobile.Milano focuses on the finished product, space&interiors explores the world of top quality interiors, finishes and windows.
Upon entering the space, visitors will experience the entire show floor as a narrative that winds its way through different areas. An esplanade weaves its way through the venue. The stands will be seamlessly inserted in in an integrated exhibition design layout, creating a dynamic yet welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for in-depth business meetings, while another more immersive area will host a multi-sensory installation in which each product receives its rightful attention.
The exhibition entitled “Absolute lightness” will host a ground breaking interactive and digital display highlighting the importance of lightness in contemporary architectural materials and solutions.
space&interiors 2017 will again be staging meetings and workshops delivering valuable cultural insights. A special lounge area will host “Archicocktails”. Here, visitors will discuss the latest trends in the building construction industry with some of the leading names in architecture and design.
